🎓 Congratulations to the Launch Zebulon Class of 2025! Launch Zebulon proudly hosted its second graduation ceremony recently at Olde Raleigh Distillery, celebrating local entrepreneurs who completed the small-business development program offered through the Town of Zebulon and the Zebulon Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship from Wake Technical Community College. Graduates shared their ideas, received certificates, and took the stage for three-minute pitch sessions showcasing the passion and creativity shaping Zebulon’s small-business community. The program continues to strengthen local entrepreneurship by supporting participants as they take the next step in growing their businesses in Zebulon. 👏 Congratulations to our graduates: Jennifer Acevedo-Holmes, Gloria Doughty, Katelyn Gage, Tory D. 🎄✨ The 2025 Town of Zebulon Christmas Parade brought our community together for an afternoon filled with holiday spirit, festive floats, marching groups, classic cars, and plenty of smiles along the parade route. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and share in the holiday spirit, even on a cold and windy day. We are grateful to the local organizations, schools, businesses, volunteers, and public safety teams who helped make this event a safe and successful celebration. 🎄 Zebulon Christmas Parade Announcement 🎄 The Town of Zebulon is proud to announce Garry H. Hailey Jr. as the 2025 Zebulon Christmas Parade Grand Marshal. Hailey is a licensed school social worker with Wake County Public Schools, serving at Zebulon GT Magnet Elementary School. Known for his compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of Zebulon’s youth, he has become a trusted advocate for students, families, and staff throughout our community. 🎅 Parade details and traffic information 🎅 The Zebulon Christmas Parade will take place Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. 🚧 Traffic advisory: Arendell Avenue will be closed between Temple Johnson Road and Barbee Street beginning at 1 p.m. Roads along the parade route will be closed beginning at 2:30 p.m. Please plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes when traveling through the downtown area. 🎄🚧 See you there!!

Each month, the Town of Zebulon Board of Commissioners recognizes an outstanding Wake County student and teacher who exemplify excellence in their school community. This month, the board is proud to honor Susan Lin of East Wake Magnet High School. Lin is an exceptional student whose achievements extend beyond the classroom. She is ranked seventh in her senior class while taking mostly CCP courses. Her willingness to support her fellow students, along with her kindness and drive for success, makes her a strong role model for her peers. The board also recognizes Mrs. Maris Gamzon, East Wake Magnet High School’s Teacher of the Year. Gamzon has devoted her career to serving children with disabilities across all grade levels in public school settings. She holds degrees from the State University of New York at Albany, New York University and Long Island University. With more than 20 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, as well as extensive training in evidence-based practices such as Orton-Gillingham and TEACCH, she continues to make a meaningful impact on students and their families. In other business, the Board of Commissioners appointed Kyle Adams to fill a vacant seat on the board. Adams was appointed and sworn in during Monday night’s board meeting. Congratulations to Susan Lin and Maris Gamzon, and welcome Commissioner Adams. Thank you for your dedication to excellence in the Zebulon community.

On Saturday, December 6, the Town of Zebulon held its swearing-in ceremony on the front lawn of Town Hall, formally welcoming Mayor Jessica Daniels Harrison, Commissioner Quentin Miles and Commissioner George D. Roa. Community members, families and staff gathered to celebrate and show their support for Zebulon’s newly elected leaders. During the ceremony, the Board of Commissioners held its organizational meeting and Commissioner Quentin Miles was elected to serve as mayor pro tem. The event marked a meaningful start to the year ahead as Zebulon continues to grow and strengthen its commitment to public service.

Today, the Town of Zebulon held its Technical Review Committee meeting for Zebulon Gateway, a $70 million mixed-use development and the largest non-residential project in the community in more than 30 years. The Zebulon Board of Commissioners approved the project earlier this year, and today’s meeting marked another step forward in the technical review process as the development continues to move ahead. #ZebulonNC #ZebulonGateway #EconomicDevelopment #CommunityGrowth #PlanningInProgress

A light layer of snow covered Zebulon Town Hall last night, giving the area a winter backdrop. Town crews and the N.C. Department of Transportation continue working to keep roads safe, but some slick spots may remain as temperatures stay low. Please use caution while traveling. The Zebulon Community Center will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9. Morning fitness classes scheduled for 10 a.m. have been canceled.
